Working in pastel and watercolor,
sometimes combining media, Ginny
Abblett has studied with artists in
seminars, workshops and private
instruction in Colorado, New Mexico,
Hong Kong and Japan. Plein Air
painting is her mode of choice, and
she has carted materials to paint on
location in England, France, Italy,
Arizona, New Mexico, New York, Ohio
and Utah.
An artist since
childhood, Ginny studied Art and
Education in college. She pursued a
teaching career, with her art
providing balance in this often
demanding field. A member of The
Pastel Society of Colorado, Ginny's
work has earned numerous awards
throughout the state.
Her confident hand
and vibrant palette result in
dream-like landscapes and studies.
Ginny's paintings are in public and
private collections throughout the
United States, Europe, and Asia. She
presently is represented by Wands
Gallery, Estes Park, Colorado, and
The Leaping Lizard Gallery in
Trinidad, Colorado. .
Ginny Abblett's
paintings are popular with private
collectors, decorators, and
commercial buyers. From deserts and
beaches to Paris parks and English
gardens, her international
influences and subjects speak to a
sophisticated audience, yet the
appeal and accessibility of her
works is universal. Ginny presently
has a studio with the Downing Street
Artists in Denver and teaches many
art classes throughout the Denver
and Colorado area.
