Artist Statement:
My paintings
reflect the fleeting atmospheric
conditions as the sun rises or as it
sets in the West. I am captivated by
the few seconds when the sky becomes
full of infinite color and energy. I
believe that the sky is an
impermanent, universal landscape,
which I find extremely appealing. In
my work, I am passionate about
creating these passing moments in a
more lasting and emotional manner.
The sky is
ever-changing and never duplicated.
The feeling of insignificance is
overwhelming when observing the sky.
The atmosphere has the power to
evoke a full spectrum of true
emotion, which I find fascinating.
It is for these reasons that I am
obsessed with exploring the
emotional aspects of sky and
atmosphere.
